Education
Compulsory schooling in Malta starts at the age of three and ends at 16.
The primary school consists of two kindergarten years (3-4 years), Classes
1-5 (5-10 years). At 11, there is the option of either a Junior Lyceum
leading to further studies or Area Secondaries leading to technical
skills' teaching. Vocational, technical and higher-education oriented
schools are available. The University of Malta has a variety of courses
available for the 18-year old students embarking on their first degree.
Post-graduate studies are also available. If you are interested in learning English in Malta, there
are various exciting programmes and schools ready to welcome you aboard.
Most schools offer accomodation with Maltese families so to practice your
English during the day. Culture and education, what a wonderful mix. |
